Terms and Conditions

1. The Service

Launchioo provides automated pull request scanning for GitHub repositories. The Service analyses added lines in PR diffs against configurable rules, posts findings as GitHub comments, and may set GitHub status checks based on scan results.

We may update, modify, or discontinue features at any time. We will use reasonable efforts to avoid material disruption but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 16 years old and capable of entering a binding contract to use the Service. You sign in using GitHub OAuth; you are responsible for maintaining the security of your GitHub account.

You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your account details current. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

3. GitHub integration

The Service requires a GitHub account and installation of the Launchioo GitHub App on one or more repositories or organisations you control or are authorised to configure.

Your use of GitHub is subject to GitHub's Terms of Service and applicable GitHub policies. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by GitHub, Inc.

You grant us permission to access repository data, pull requests, and related metadata solely as needed to provide the Service — including reading diffs, posting comments, and creating check runs — for repositories you explicitly authorise.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service in violation of any applicable law or regulation
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, other accounts, or third-party systems
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or scrape the Service except where permitted by law
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service, including by sending excessive automated requests
• Use the Service to scan repositories you do not have permission to access
• Misrepresent scan results or use the Service to harass or mislead others

We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or pose a security risk.

5. No professional advice; scan limitations

The Service provides automated, rule-based analysis only. It is not a substitute for manual code review, a full security audit, penetration testing, or compliance certification.

Scans may produce false positives or miss issues. We do not guarantee that the Service will detect every vulnerability, secret, or quality problem. You remain solely responsible for code you merge and ship.

6. Intellectual property

We own the Service, including its software, branding, documentation, and rule definitions, subject to third-party open-source licences where applicable. These Terms do not grant you ownership of the Service.

You retain all rights to your code and repository content. You grant us a limited licence to process repository and pull request data solely to provide and improve the Service as described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Fees and payment

Some features may be offered free of charge; paid plans may be introduced in the future. If we charge fees, we will describe pricing and billing terms before you incur charges. Unless otherwise stated, fees are non-refundable except where required by law.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the GitHub App and, if applicable, deleting your account. We may suspend or terminate your access with notice where reasonable, or immediately for material breaches, legal requirements, or extended inactivity.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends. Sections that by their nature should survive (including disclaimers, limitations of liability, and governing law) will survive termination.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR UNINTERRUPTED.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LAUNCHIOO AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS (US $100).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Launchioo and its affiliates from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your repository content, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Courts in England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms, except where mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence requires otherwise.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Material changes may be notified by email or in-product notice. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
